Looking for something free to do in Miami during Super Bowl week? Whether or not you splashed out on tickets to the big game, you can still attend Super Bowl LIVE, a free fan festival in downtown Miami!
Super Bowl LIVE Miami
Super Bowl LIVE is a seven-day series of free events for fans thrown by the city’s host committee. This year’s event will take place at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami from Saturday, January 25th through Saturday, February 1st. (You can check out a full schedule below.) Super Bowl LIVE features fan activities, concerts, dance performances, sponsor activations, water shows, culinary demos, and other surprises. In the evenings, be sure to come out for parades and fireworks!
Bayfront Park is often used for public events because it’s a beautiful, pedestrian-friendly, waterfront area that’s great for hanging out anytime.
This year’s Super Bowl LIVE setup will include spaces like the Huddle Down Community Stage, Road to the 11th, Tailgate Town, and an environmental village. If you’re coming to Miami with the kids, no worries! Super Bowl LIVE will feature family-friendly activities for all ages. It’s supposed to be a fun, interactive place where fans, guests of the city, and locals can all come together to get excited for the big game and explore everything that Miami has to offer!
Super Bowl LIVE Schedule:
Saturday, Jan. 25th: 11 AM – 11 PM
Sunday, Jan. 26th: 11 AM – 9 PM
Monday, Jan. 27th: 4 PM – 9 PM
Tuesday, Jan. 28th: 4 PM – 9 PM
Wednesday, Jan. 29th: CLOSED
Thursday, Jan. 30th: 4 PM – 11 PM
We’re not sure yet which artists and acts will be featured in this year’s concert series but if past performances are anything to go by, Super Bowl LIVE will feature a range of artists of both local and national fame. As you may recall, Jermaine Dupri produced Atlanta’s Super Bowl LIVE concert series. Being a local himself, he felt obliged to showcase lots of home-grown Atlanta talent.
His other goals for this fan festival? Include a diverse array of artists and genres and keep it clean for audiences young and old. We can only assume Miami’s concert series will have similar standards. Stay tuned for a detailed schedule of performances.
NFL Super Bowl Experience
Fans in the city should also come out to explore the annual Super Bowl Experience, which will take place at the Miami Convention Center from January 25th through February 1st. For that, you will need to buy tickets!
Super Bowl Experience is yet another family-friendly event, and inside the convention center, you’ll find tons of interactive football exhibits and activities, including meet-and-greets with NFL legends. You can take pictures in front of team lockers filled with real pro football gear and uniforms, and you can even pose beside the actual Vince Lombardi Trophy! About 65,000 fans are expected to attend.
This year’s Super Bowl Experience is presented by Lowe’s. The event will include autograph signing sessions with NFL stars and viewings of historic Super Bowl memorabilia, including all 53 Super Bowl Rings. There will also be live broadcasts by the NFL Network, virtual reality experiences, participatory games, and youth football clinics where kids can practice their skills, including quarterback-like throws, a 40-yard-dash, and a vertical jump test (where you can practice against NFL pros on an LED screen). And of course, you’ll be able to visit the NFL Shop to buy Super Bowl merch.
Tickets for the NFL Super Bowl Experience range from $20 to $40 depending on which day you attend, but you can buy multi-day passes for $50 and VIP tickets for $60 (these include unlimited activities). Check out NFL.com for more details on tickets, prices, and what they include.
