Super Bowl LII is still half a year away, but who says we can’t start getting pumped; not just for the game, commercials and halftime show, but for the week of festivities leading up! Super Bowl Central, the name of the NFL’s headquarters in the host city, features parties, events and live music all week long. When the SB came to New York for instance, the NFL completely took over time square. That is the beauty of SB Central- its activities are informed by the unique flavor of its host. Every year is both awe-inspiring and utterly unique. 2018 will be hosted in Minneapolis, MS with the theme “Bold North” and is shaping up to be one for the book!
Welcome to the Mall of America
As a location for Super Bowl Central, the Mall of America is a perfect fit. What better place to celebrate the biggest game of the year than at the biggest mall in the western hemisphere? The insanely enormous complex will be home to the big game festivities, which are centered around the theme of “Bold North”; a celebration of what makes Minnesota, Minnesota.
Interactive Football Bazaar
As bazaar as it may seem to host a Super Bowl in the “bold north” of Minnesota, it’ll be well worth it. This place knows how to do winter right, and the Interactive Football Bazaar is a great place to start. This is where you’ll find NFL players signing autographs, playgrounds for your kids to perfect their field goals, entertainment and ESPN broadcasts.
Super Bowl Activities at the annual Winter Carnival
Minnesota hosts an annual Winter Carnival that embraces the season they do so well. Since this year, it rolls into the Super Bowl weekend, they’ll be including several SB activities throughout the festivities. So, along with the lights shining throughout Rice Park, festival parades, sledding in the snow park, drinking at the Beer Dabbler, disc golf ice bowling, ice palaces, and so much more, you’ll also get football!
VIP Tailgate
No Super Bowl would be complete without some good ole’ American tailgating. The VIP Tailgate party is a must have for anyone visiting Minnesota. It’s going to be complete with celebrity chefs, NFL players, entertainment, cheerleaders, open premium bar, all-you-can-eat dining, and an experience of a lifetime.
Tuesday and Friday Afternoon Rallies
When you aren’t enjoying the other festivities during Super Bowl week, participate in one of the two rallies the NFL is hosting outside of the stadium. The Tuesday and Friday prior to the Super Bowl, pump up your spirits with other football fans in a fun, energetic, crowd.
